Victory is given by the Lord and it is the unity of the 300 men that he used in a powerful way. God desires that we 'would be one' and empowers followers to enable this to happen.
The climax of the story delivers a great victory for God's people. This week we consider the blessing of leadership and leadership lessons from Gideon.
In the next stage of our story, God deliberately weakens Gideon's army. Josh explains how our weakness helps us lean into Gods strength and seek His power at work in our lives - setting us free from self reliance and into a world of faith in our Saviour!
After God commissions Gideon the journey begins. We see how opposition seeks to discourage Gideon (and us!) and how God fortifies him.
God appears to Gideon and transforms everything. Gideon is given a new identity and called into God's plan for his generation.
The story of Gideon starts with the people of God no longer walking with the Lord. Gideon's household was forefront in this turn away from God. God breaks in and Gideon repents but what lessons can we take from this for our own lives and our own hearts?
